The Silver Zinc battery (AgZn) is known for long as a power battery, but its poor cycle life has restrained applications of the system to some military uses.

SCPS, with the benefit of its successful development of the zinc electrode for the NiZn Battery, has launched an R & D program to improve the cycle life of AgZn battery.

Main advantages of the SCPS AgZn battery:
• Cylindrical and prismatic batteries are maintenance-free
• Good cycling capability with more than 500 cycles
• Silver electrodes with high charge efficiency (over 90%) during several hundred of cycles

Specific energy : up to 130 Wh/kg, 300 Wh/dm3
