AgZn Battery
The Silver-Zinc battery developed by SCPS has plastic-bonded positive and negative electrodes, made into metallic foams as current collectors.
Electrodes are produced through well known industrial processes.
The zinc anode is similar to the one developed by SCPS for nickel-zinc batteries.
Additives, like plastic binder and porophoric agents, and a specific separator improve the silver cathode performances and its stability during cycling.
The SCPS AgZn technology allows this system to have a much improved cycle life.
